Hi!
Hi! Great page..one of the few that makes sense from my search of Great Wall of China..I'm planning a sponsored trip to China in the Summer of 2001 (Uni holiday). I want to walk the Great Wall (original bit only maybe as I only have 14 weeks). Would be really greatful for any tips. Thanks!
Hi! What an absolutely wonderful report of your trip to Angkor. I'm researching what it would be like to go there on my bike. Nothing could possibly be worse than South Easterly winter storms in Prince William Sound . . . except perhaps hanuman snakes and Khmer bandits.
Hi! thanks for that precious information and great pictures of ajanta caves. but could you give me explanation for pictures under "photo tour"? Because i would like to know where the location is (cave's number) and what those pictures represent of. i love this site. sincerely, yulia
Hi! This is great! I have a start in the right direction. My interest at this time is in southern CA. Gem and minerial locations.
Hi!
Hi! Chilliwack is 50 miles inland from Vancouver. A river fishermans paradise. I have enjoyed your recipes and have turned them on to all the girls in the family. I am also a Web Master and am building a Guided Fishing index. I would like to post a link to your site if that is okay with you. Regards Bob Mitchell http://www.guidedfishing.com

Hi! good work! Could you please tell me as to where i could find a high -resolution world map, which shows all the major cities etc. Thanks Sanjay
Hi! We are studying penguins and loved seeing your pictures and article. You are lucky that you could travel and count penguins. we are in Grade 3 and 1. We learned penguins can dive in water and land on the ice on their bellies. The babies are beautiful. bye,Please write back to us! From candace and Michael
Hi!
Hi! I am studying physical Geography at the university of alaska. Will visit you site more often.
Hi!I read your homepage "Trip to the end of the World": It's great. Tomorrow my girlfriend and I will go to Ushuaia and then to Chile.
Hi!
Hi! I was just checking to see if my site was coming up on some searches and found yours instead. johnsalmon.co.uk
Hi!I enjoyed reading about your trip, i am planning my own trip to China soon and found your story very helpful thanks..
Hi! I was most interested to find your journey to the Pitcairn group! As with many, I am still spellbound by that remote, remarkable rock, though time and circumstance have presented the people with great challenges. What are their voices like, and what accent do they retain? I have thought in detail how virtual energy selfsufficiency could be done there. thanks again!
I thoroughly enjoyed your account of your trip to Pitcairn and Henderson Islands! The lengthy passage there and the travails while visiting were of unusual interest to me. What a grand adventure! For my wife and I, such trips are beyond cost prohibitive, so I travel on the net.
Hi! Just to say hello from "down under", being able to sign your guest book is great. Love to hear from you guys, if you have time. Sylvia-xierweiya (my Chinese name, but I am not Chinese< just studied the lingo).
Hi!

Hello fellow Salmon, I was very impressed by your bright and informative web presence. I do not have a website yet though I work in IT and have been on the net since 1994. I am from the West Wales Salmon family centred around Nevern in Pembrokeshire. I grew up in Neath , West Glamorgan, South Wales and have been living in England since 1975. On 21st of March 2000 my wife, Julia, gave birth to Alfred Gwyn Emrys Salmon, who weighed in at 5lb 15oz at 3.32 am at home after only two hours labour. He may be the latest addition to the clan. I am very interested to hear from other Salmons around the world. As far as I can verify, my branch is entirely Welsh in origin. There are Salmons in Co. Clare Ireland and also along the Suffolk coast which I live near. Do you know where your family are from? I will be happy to correspond and give further details if you so wish. Regards, Peter
Hi!
Hi! Thank you! Finallly -- a place with good maps.
I was looking at Monty's webpage, which linked me to Nathan's, and his linked me to yours! Nice site. Hope all is well.
Hi! Your journal to China is very informative. I will be visiting the Silk Road this summer from June 13th-July 6th. Thank you for all your helpful hints. Aloha, Patti

Hi guys, We were just clicking around from the Blacker House site (those kids have TIME on their hands) and found you. We're both doing the startup thing up here, sounds like you are too. Look us up if you're ever in San Francisco/Berkeley! Ed & Deepi
Hi!
Hi! I really like your website. Particularly the section on your trip to China. I found it very interesting. Go to my website (www.clubi.ie/muirghen) It is about my trip to China in 1999. I'm sure you'll find it interesting.
Hi! Cracking web site, looks like you had a lotta fun, I'm going for a year in August, can't wait!
Hi! Didn't anybody ever tell you that looping a site so that visitors can't leave is sooo bad manners? Nice site, though.
I'M SORRY BUT IF YOU EXPECT TO GET SOME REACTIONS W/ THOSE JOKES YOU MIGHT WANT TO STOP TRYING NOW OR THINK OF SOME JOKES THAT ARE ACTUALLY FUNNY.... I'M ONLY SPEAKING THE TRUTH.
Hi!I throughly enjoyed reading your articles on amazing and remote places.
Hi! I found out by the statistics counter at my own page that you have a link to me. Interesting stuff, I will read more closely about your museum climate studies. If you ever cross Denmark during your tour-de-UNESCO-sites give me a call. - Morten, Webmaster of Indoor Air Quality in Museums Web Page http://hjem.get2net.dk/ryhl/
Hi! Do you like to fish for salmon? Do you approve of dam breaching? Does anyone know how much money is best to spend on saving the salmon?

Hi! Isolated Brit was considering trying to get to Pitcairn, until I saw what you had to go through to achive it! If ever I make it, then I'll let you know. Easter Island & Galapagos are the main objective at the moment. TTFN, Graeme.
Hi!
Hi! from Warsaw, Poland (also World Heritage Site). I have been writing to you some time ago but you didn't answer so I try again. I have the same interest in my life - to visit some time all World Heritage Sites (the only problem is that they still growing in numbers). As of today I have seen 75 items from the list (mostly located in Europe). If you want I can share some useful info with you.
Hi! I have just been reading your adventures from the Pitcairn islands and loved every word, as you will see from my last name I am Grahams brother who now lives in the States with My American wife and two children. It made me want to go home after reading that Graham spent the night of the party in the corner with a Gameboy, That's my brother. He amazes me with all the stuff he has done and and it fills me with pride to read the good comments you had about him. I hope this finds you in good health and spirits and I really enjoyed your tales of adventure. Warmest regards, Warwick Wragg { Grahams younger and better looking brother :-) }
Hi!
Hi!I was perusing a couple search engine result links for "Pit Bbq-ing" and landed in the very informative realm of your "Team-Mumu Pit Bbq techniques" pages. I must say that I'm searching no further for methods of Pit design. I'm not a Grad student, or even a college student, but a student of life instead. I've been facinated by Science all my life, and have pursued higher learning in my own way. Thank You for the bbq info, and I applaud you're research of the current living planet's "bio-rythms". May your investigations lend insight towards possitive impact upon our little, fragile, piece of the heavens. David M. Hansberger
Hi!
Hi! Found your web site quite by accident. Enjoyed what I've read so far. I especially liked the pictures of Coho. My husband and I have two German Shepherds (can see their pictures at www.rowellfamily.org/dogs). We also used to live in Pasadena, not far from you, up in the burn areas. Niki, the dog we had at the time, loved the hikes in the national forest area by the house. Look forward to more reading.
Hi!
Hi! Nice links! See more at http://www.pcisys.net/~pwebber/search.htm#Maps
Hello. My friend and I are planning a trip to Angkor Wat (and hopefully Vietnam and Bangkok as well) over winter holidays. Found your site via askjeeves.com search. The pictures are lovely and only serve to entice us even more. While we are thoroughly reading Lonely Planet Guide to Southeast Asia and seeking other resources, we are still having coming up a little short in the travel information department. There do not seem to be ways to economically facilitate an independent trip (do not liketraditional tours) and its hard to find good information on where to stay and so forth. Can you recommend resources? Thank you again for your intriguing site. Best, Colleen KRuger
Hi! Quite interesting reading. It helped make my day. Thanks. John
I am a Chinese-American living in Hong Kong planning a Silk Road trip for Oct 2000. I caught your Silk Road 1991 travelogue via Ask Jeeves. I am pleased and intrigued by your patience in your work, then traveling in unusual places, and taking the time to note it all down. Much has changed since China used FECs in 1991, but as well as being much more convenient it's also much more commercialised. I have never written to someone on a web site before, but I wanted to say thanks and good luck on your further adventures. I am now intrigued to read of your other World Heritage travels.

Hi! I have been browsing the web to to get information on Dunhuang and Mogao Grottoes when I came across your travelogue.Though I am a fifty year old woman and have to grownup sons, both gainfully employed as designers and copy writers, I am still living with my childhood dream of travelling on the silk road, preferably on foot.In 1993 I travelled to Leh by bus from Manali,a town south east of Rohtang pass. Once in leh I went up to Alchi to look up the 11th and 12th century monasteries. There a Lama escorted me to the highest point of the settlement and pointed out the Karakoram ranges and the probable route to go to Khotan ( now in Xinjiang). Once back in Leh I met an old Photographer who had photographed extensively part of the Silk Route between 1937 and 1952, from Leh to Kashgar as he used to accompany his father's trading caravan from Leh to Kashgar.I told him of my desire to travel on the Silk Road and go to Tun-huang.The old man, (Sayyed Ali Shah was his name and he was 80 years old in 1993)promised to be my guide upto Yarkand and asked me to contact him as soon as I have arranged the required papers and finances.Well, Sayyad Ali Shah is probably dead and I have neither the needed documents for international travel nor thefinances and here I rest my case. It was heartening to read your account. Thank you, with warm regards Sabiha Hashmi U-24/17, Town Houses, D.L.F.Phase III, Gurgaon,Haryana, India. Ph.Res: 0124,6352297.
Hi! Just browsing, and I shall return! Dan

Hi! Lynn It is a neat work. I like it. What is next? How do I figure out the meaning of ozone concentration in Ankara, in Turkey, and in general in the world? Could you please suggest me some of the papers which may help me to learn a little bit more on this topic? Thanks again and good luck. Dr. Kadir Gurgey TPAO Research Center 06520 Ankara, Turkey
Hi! Found your site from UNESCO. Enjoyed every minute of it, especially since my husband and I had been to Picairn and Henderson on a cruise on the Breman in '96. We were able to land on both islands, and had a ride up the hill with Tom Christain. Found out Betty C. had been to Indianapolis on a church convention. Small world! We were also on Mangareva. Easter Is. and the Galapagos. Truly our favorite cruise! We've done a bit f traveling, but mostly the tourist "stuff". I envy you! Planning to read all your other travels. Where do you go next? I want to come! Norma Found a quote on a menu on the Breman, I think you will like. "The passion for foreign countries is thr sweetest and wisest depravity on earth" Kasimir Enschmidt
you sad git.
Hi!This looks like an interesting site.I'm always looking for good info on fish or habitat.
Hi!, I am a computer science major at UTSA and just happened to be looking for information on the Chinese Silk Road for my Humanities class. What a coincedence that both of my major interests are on the same page. Thanks! P.S. By the way, cool game!
Hi! I recently learned of the existance of the Pitcairn Islands by accident. Since then I have been spending a lot of time at work researching them. It seems like an extarodinary experience to be able to visit there. After learning as much (or as little) as I have in the last few weeks I am pretty much commited to planning a trip there in the near future. This, I understand, is a dificult task and I don't know how to go about it. Any help or advice that you could offer would be greatly appreciated. I want to plan this trip soon while I'm still young because I feel that if I wait it will never happen. You guys seem like you just do whatever you want and just go where the mood takes you. I think that is pretty admirable. Good luck on your journeys. Erik Grimsgaard
Hi!I can't get to Pitcairn from here, but reading of your visit is the next best thing. Thanks
HELLO, IS THERE ANYONE WHO CAN HELP ME FIND MAPS AND INFORMATION ABOUT THE CHAGOS ISLANDS. HOW DO YOU GET THERE? SCOTT ANDERSON scottando@hotmail.com
I have read all your adventures, although I must say Pitcairn Island held the most fascination for me. As far as my own adventures, I went deep sea fishing once! Oh well, after 8 more years with SBC perhaps in retirement we'll be able to see some of the truly amazing places you write about. Be careful....and keep documenting your travels!
Hi!I'm from Taiwan, surfing the web and saw your site. I like it a lot, especially your dog.
Hi!
Hi!
Enjoyed the writings on Thailand. I lived there for several years, so it brought back vivid images/experiences. Good luck on your future travels and computer endeavors!
Hi! I'm grateful for your careful reporting on your pit roasting experience. I'm about to try my own pig roast at an upcoming holiday weekend party. Y'all strike me as nifty people.
Hi! Your page is wonderful I too am interested in unusual travels (Chagos Islands, to mention only one place to get to -incidentally, a good place for Rat Pile, since they are full of rats). Nice to chat with you again, All the best, Mauro
Loved your account of your Patagonian adventure. I was born in Argentina and will be going to see that part of the world soon so your info came in handy. Loved your jokes, an Argentinian understands how it is and you guys really saw the local color. Think you need to write for a living, if not for the money then for your readers. Keep it comming.
Hi!
Hi!My husband and I are planning a one year round the world trip(minus S America and N America) with our two sons who will be 10 and 8 next year when we go. Any tips on great places to go with kids/places to avoid. The big question is (which seems silly in the greater scheme of things) which way do we head out west or east. Any info you could pass on would be appreciated. Thanks Gail
Hi! Hmmph! So the volcanoes on the Big Island were anti-climactic after Pitcairn Island, huh? Hmmph! It was my childhood dream-come-true when I stood on Kilauea and at the very end -- you whacked at my pretty dream. I love the South Pacific -- Hawaii, PNG, New Zealand, the Great Barrier Reef (best viewed by chopper). Would you guys go back? If so where? I just added Pitcairn Island to my list of WannaSee Places! Thanks for taking the trouble to publish your experiences -- they reminded me ofmy own similar ones! God bless! Vivek, Rebekah, Jeremy and Lydia SunderRaj
Hi!Lynn I am new to the Internet. The email I sent you today have been returned but I like to hear from you as Sri Lanka has three Heritage sites and a Natural Heritage site Regards Rohan
Hello, Just a note to say I absolutely loved reading of your adventure to Pitcairn and Henderson Islands. I have been searching for and have found a number of websites on the island but yours is by all means the best. My fscination is with what life is like in other places so I greatly enjoyed reading all about your trip. I have travelled through most of Canada,Japan, HongKong, Thailand, Singapore, New Zealand and Australia and lived in Malaysia so if you have any questions abotu those places I'd certainly be happy to provide it. P.S. I would absolutely higly recommend going to the Queen Charlottes! Look forward to reading of your future adventures. Kristi Your goal of visiting all the UNESCO sites sounds wonderful. I think it would be amazing to visit L'Anse Aux Meadows in particular. I am particularly fascinated by isolated and small islands such as Tristan da Cunha, Pitcairn, St. Pierre and Miquelon.
Hello Jihn @ Lynne I enjoyed your site and travels very much. Keep up the good work and continue to enjoy life. John
Lynn, You are a Wonderfull woman. You are a PROFI. Istvan
Hi! grom one cooking lover to another, this is a great web sight.

Hi! Enjoyed reading your trip to Pitcairn. Am trying to find out as much info as I can about the place before we embark on a trip there in Jan 2003 with our diving club for an expedition which will involve marine archeaological and scientific projects for 3 weeks. It is a Navy diving club and I am currently an oceanography with geology student and trying to find something interesting to study while we are there.
Hi! my name is becky I'm 109 years old the oldest person alive i think Well anyways thanks for the information! -<-<-<-<-<-@
Hi! You were our guides and mentors for the hangi we tried last weekend. Thank you. It worked brilliantly, with a small sheep (a Soay - small rare breed from Scotland: I know a farmer). Our pit, in clayey earth, was three and a bit feet deep by 4' by about3', lined with flattish stones and well fired - we'd given it a warm-up the day before, then resumed at 6.00 am the day of the feast. The carcase went in at 9.00 am, festooned with rosemary and bay branches and wrapped in metal foil. We're a bit low on banana leaves in Surrey. We put a sizzling hot brick inside it. We laid a metal sheet resting on the stones that lined the sides above and just clear of the beast, and sealed its edges with clay, before piling on about a foot of earth. Eleven hours later came crunch time. We removed the earth and metal sheet, and raised the body - on two long wires we'd buried beneath it. It was nearer overcooked than under. The meat slid off the bones, succulent and sweet, and fed 16 people (with tons left over). We'd separately cooked the veggies - baked spuds, peas and ratatouille - and supplied apple jelly. 'Twas wunnerful. Thank you and your team for the guidance.
Wish the map had more detail so I could place my location more accurately.
Greetings! Chanced upon you while researching a pig roast of our own. Sounds like a great weekend project for a hungry crowd. Cheers D & L
Hi!
Hi! I was searching the web for wedding anniversary gift ideas and happened upon your list and was wildly amused with some of the suggestions. The rest of the site was very interesting and I loved the pictures of the dogs too. Thanks!
Hi!, I read a lot on your island, and i watch on internet. Compare with our space in Canada, it is pretty small. But they always say, small is beautyful. In the province of Québec, 85% of the people speak french(7 500 000), it is the only place in north América. One day , in may be 5 or 6 years, i will show up in your place with my wife, on a sailing boat. My e-mail représente a place where old people live. We have 14 résidents(age between 69 and 95) more of them non-handicap. To see our web site, look for 'Manoir des Grands-Parents' Canada. Hoping having news from you, and if you need information on how old people live in St-Eustache. It is 11.30 pm local, and i just coming of playing hockey on ice. Au revoir Maurice
Hi! (not yet)
I am the ghost of computing past.
I see you've moved on from the old days. Good fortune!
Some still remain, but there are many new faces.
I don't miss the place, just some people. ;-)
Hi! I just finished reading a book detailing a Brittish woman's trip to "paradise", Pitcairn Island. I was hooked and started reading everything on the net regarding the island and it's people. Your journal of the trip was fascinating and some of the best reading I have found. What an adventure!! Thank you so much for sharing the adventure with those of us who haven't, as yet, been able to make the journey.
Hi!
Hi!
Hi! How are you guys? For some reason, I am here and I don't have any idea what this thing is but what the heck! Have fun, (i guess) -whitney
Hi! JUST TO SAY WHAT AN INTERESTING SITE, I HAVE ALSO TRAVELLED AND WAS AMAZED TO SEE ALL THE PLACES I HAVE VISITED, ALSO IT HELPED MY DAUGHTER WITH HER HOMEWORK, WELL DONE, SOMETHING AT LAST WORTH VISITING ON THE INTERNET. A SITE WELL RECOMMENDED
Great site, it has helped me a lot with a research paper I am doing at the University of Pittsburh on the Willandra Lakes region of Australia. Thanx, Dan Barr
Excellent website! I enjoyed the pit cooking page, although
I didn't have time to watch the MPEGs.
I'm sure it's much better with the video footage!

We have travelled over most of Europe in our Camper, this summer we are hopeing to travel around the Black Seaand through the Ukraine and Russia. Any info and/or suggestions will be very welcome. We are both active pensioners, and our camper is over 20 years old. Jack Waters.
Hi Lynn, I've just finished reading your Silk Road writeup. My family & I emigrated to the UK from Pakistan in the 70's. It was moving and nostalgic reading about the places which I visited as a kid (Islamabad/Hunza/Lahore). Just wanted to thank you for providing an enjoyable & pleasant read. Regards Kamran

Hi!I dont know if I'm on the right website or not, im only a novice on a computer, so please bear with me, Im trying to get onto a site I was on the other week on Tristan da cunha and I cant find it again, I wrote to Tristan da Cunha website and got on to a guest book and wrote a small piece in it that I was trying to trace a pen friend I had a few years ago and I had lost her address on moving house and as it has just surfaced I was trying to contact lost penpals, The person I'm after is Joy Repetto who used to live at 9 Watkins Road, Tristan da Cunha and if she was reading the letter or anyone else who knows her and if she is still on the island to contact me, But I'm blowed if i can find the site again I only know it invited me to write in the guest book which I did and afterwards I browsed through a lot of letters from other people all over the world writing to Tristan da Cunha

Hi! I'm thrilled to find someone else with a goal of visiting all WH sites in the world. I've only been to about 60 but we've quit our jobs to travel for a few years so I'm hoping to increase that. Planning trips to Mexico (ruins) and Turkey in March, 01. Did central Mexico and the UK in Feb. Great site. I love your job. I'm currently researching a new career tied to the preservation of WH sites.
Hi!
Hi!
Hello! I'm doing a report on Sockeye salmon, and your life cycle page was a big help. I'll be sure to cite you in my bibliography! (Oh, and by the way, naming the dog Coho was BRILLIANT!) Also, my boyfriend is applying to Caltec and MIT... you went to both: which did you prefer? He'd appreciate tha advice... Thanks for the help!
Thanks for the incredible virtual trip to Pitcairn.

Hi! I am looking for a road map traversing the himalayas starting from Manali to Darjeeling via Nepal can u help me ashwin
Hi! I stumbled over your site doing research on Dunhuang for a Chapter in my forthcoming book: "Deep Memories" that covers 25 years of travelling and working in Asia. One visit was to Dunhuang and my concern is over Cave 328 that was plundered in 1923-24 by Langdon Warner of Fogg Museum of Harvard U. I found the missing statue from 328 in the Sackler Museum at Harvard. I tried to think of a Topkopi-like scenario wherein I could steal the statue and return it to Dunhuang, but alas, I couldn't figure out how to get it out, and besides now I figure the little 1 m high statue is better at Harvard than in a sandy cave. Regards. Buzz Barnes
Hi!wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaassssssssssssssssssuuuuuuuuuuuuuuppppppppppppppp!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i was just looking for a map but you dont have it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi! Just been to Gabo [Gay-Bow]Island (aboriginal pronounciation of Cape Howe I believe)and looked it up on the internet to discover your interesting report on the penguin count. Only the odd one still in burrows at this time (March 2001), but many mutton-birds around island. Xi'an to Kashgar was also redolent of past trips we've made in those parts of China. Thanks for taking your time to share your visits with us. Stan + Dorothy Howe (Senior Citizens)
Hi! Nice to know you and thank you for your information about australia. Tomorrow I will leave for perth and stay for a week. It's the first time to perth and I am so exited. I hope someday I can travel the whole world just like you, especial with my lover. sincerely, betty
Hi! Very nice collection amd very useful.
Hi!
Hi! bye! tp
Hi!It was marvellous to read your diary of the trip to Pitcairn, islands have always fascinated me since I was a child and those that are farther away the more intriguing. Have you any plans to visit Tristan da Cunha?
Howdy, Curious how these things work out - A google.com search flushed out your site as I was looking for my friend Wayne Neville on the web. I still haven't found Wayne's site but he did sign your guest book back in 1995, and that got me curious enough to look around. Evidently, penguins look a lot prettier than they sound. I'm happy for you that you can call that work, scouting around counting mating pairs and travelling to some very out-of-the-way places. I hope that you continue to enjoy it and continue to research, publish and educate the less-adventurous and perhaps less caring about the fragile nature of our ecosystem and all the bad things that we are doing to adversely affect it. Alan
Hi! I just finished reading your account of your trip to Pitcairn Island. I would really like to visit there, someday. Who knows?someday I might :)
Hello Lynn! I love your new site(s). You have been an excellent resource, supplementing the official UNESCO home and related pages associated with their World Heritage program. As President of the World Heritage Foundation, my small team is involved in the production of documentary films that utilize World Heritage Sites around the world to help tell the fascinating stories of the histories and cultures of the people who have lived at or near, or are living at or near, these remarkable treasures. The first three sites we have chosen are in China (Zhangjiajie, aka Wulingyuan, Wu Yi Mountain and The Old Town of Lijiang). Please visit our humble website (www.worldheritagefoundation.com). Hope to be in touch with you about some of our plans and activities, and the convergence of our interests and your's. Best, Andy Meinke

Hi! Well done on your website!
Hi! I just happened on this map website and haven't explored it yet. My hope is to find a detailed map of the Phillipines. It seems that our former territory has flat out been written off the world map. I hope that my mind gets changed after I travel through your site. Thanks for the opportunity.
Hello from a high school English teacher . . . Found your web as I was looking for information on cooking a 'pig in a pit' (for our upcoming faculty end-of-year outing). The faculty used to cook a pig about fifteen years ago, in what is now known as the last of the great 'drink yourself into a stupor, and also cook a pig in a pit' tradition. I like tradition! Also, just happened to look around your site and Whoa! what a great site. I'll be back (after the faculty party) to read. My students would be interested in the computer neuro nets and I would like to read on social development and cogitation. Charlie B.
Hi!
Hi!
Hi! A friend sent me your web page and it looks like I am in for a lot of good reading and mind travel. I have been interested in maps since grade school taking geography classes not social studies as it now called. I am 69 years old and enjoy spending time on the computer visiting the different web sites.------Thanks for your time and effort. Don V.
Hi! Happy to make contact with a fellow heritage lover. No chance of me getting to see the places for real so I rely on books, films, videos and websites Thank You John
Hi! I was researching solar ovens and found a link to pit cooking. We will be trying some vegis and chicken this summer at the lake but don't think we will attempt a pig just yet! Thanks for all the fun info.

Hi! I was born in Xinjiang, and spent many years there until I finished my bachelor's degree. I've always cherished a dream of going back for a visit to have a taste of the special local culture and the beautiful scenery again, but only to find myself short of time and money. I really miss the Silk Road. Your adventures really fascinated me.

I'm a PCB design engineer for Nortel,(just been outsourced), and an amateur skywatcher/astro-physicist I also have artistic tendencies. If you want to see another John Salmon website, please feel free to visit http://www.geocities.com/woger_uk Hey! I don't want to find you've been taking credit for my artwork now? All the best John. P.S. My brothers wifes name is Lynn too. Crazy world........

Hi!
Hi!
Hi!I've filled in this form because I, like you, have this preposterous ambition of seeing every WHS before I die. I haven't counted recently but I must be somewhere between 250 and 300. Are we part of a world-wide community who keep in touch through your website? I came across your names when I was looking for information about Henderson Island. Previously the only way I knew of getting there was on very expensive cruises, not really my style. I look forward to reading the account of your travels there at my leisure! The majority sites I have visited are in Europe, naturally, but I am also pretty strong on Africa, Latin America, USA, Canada, South Asia and Arab nations. Next in line is a first visit to Australia and Thailand. I enjoyed reading your website. Iain Jackson.
Hi! I ran into your page at 12:30 am and just couldn't stop reading! I'm going to Argentina & Patagonia in December too--almost the same dates, for 4 weeks. I can't wait & your adventures were certainly entertaining & informative. We will fly from Buenos Aires to Mendoza, and then drive down to Bariloche and further down to Calafate & the glaciers. I absolutely loved your site. It's wonderful. Thank you.
Thank you for your useful infomation on World Heritage Sites in Spain. If it has not been included already, I will be listing it in the Open Directory Project. Regards, Anthony
Hi! I came upon your homepage, while doing link research for our homepage www.schaetze-der-welt.de . We are a Public German TV broadcaster and are doing a documentary series on World Heritage since 1995. On our homepage you can find information on ca. 150 sites including real videos. The page is in German language, but perhaps you can enjoy it anyway. Best regards!

Hi! I just love maps! However, your site is not full of links to maps. It is full of links to links to links of maps. I found that to be be quite frustrating. Perhaps you should change your description to reflect the reality of your site! JON
Hi! I completely, totally, thoughly enjoyed your trip to the Pitcairn Islands. The links were really great too, plus all the pictures. Yours was the best site I saw when I searched for the Pitcairn Islands on the internet. Thanks for taking the time to do the trip history as I will not be able to do such an adventure, but I really enjoyed yours> Thanks again. Dave Puckett in Nebraska

Thank you Lynn for the wonderful UNESCO World Heritage pages. I am a postcard collector and currently working on a collection of World Heritage sites postcards...all ages, all conditions. One day I hope use the collection to introduce students in elementary schools to World Heritage, perhaps inspiring them to find out more about the sites and UNESCO. Peace, Bonnie Jeanne

Hi! I am an Indian Police Officer working presently with the United Nations on an assignment for the UN Mission in East Timor, the newest born country on this planet. This country has already elected its new President and will achieve full independence on 20 May 2002 from the UN Transitional Administration. I was happy to to through your travelogue, particularly to read your experiences of travelling through the Silk Road and then through Pakistan. Myself being a passionate traveller all over my life, was amazed to see the simplicity of your writing style and covering the minute details. Never been in China and Pakistan myself but looking forward to visit some of the exotic places in China and more particularly the Great Wall of China. Your travelogue has inspired me to write something similar on my extensive travels in East Timor and some parts of of Indonesia. With thanks and best wishes. Rajendra
