One of the most common ducks around, I'm sure we saw them as children. The first mallards we ebirded were on Muttonbird Island, Australia in July, 1995.
We've also seen them in NY, NJ, CT, Norway, Iceland, Montana, Wyoming, Alberta, Alaska, Louisiana, Colorado, Nebraska, Pennsylvania, and Texas.
