I saw my first Cape Canary on the grounds of the Linger Longer Country Retreat during my South Africa Birding and Wildlife Safari in 2022. I first heard the birds calling outside my room, but only got one blurry photo of one on the ground.
We subsequently spotted more during the rest of trip in South Africa.
