We took up curling at the beginning of 2008. It's a game of grace ans skill, played on ice, perfectly suited for us :-). It's a social sport and affords some opportunity to travel to cool places, and we enjoyed a visit (and a bronze medal) at the Akureyri Ice Cup.
We had to rush home from Iceland, make a quick stop at home, and race off for an excellent SMRA sponsored birding trip to Yellowstone National Park. We stayed on after the birding and visited more of Montana, Salmon, Idaho, and ventured in to Alberta, Canada on our own.
